A Weekend in the Doghouse

DAY THREE: FINAL DAY
1:30 - 2:00 p.m.: I woke up by myself this time. I took a leak and put my contacts back in, then got all my shit together for the ride home. Cris and Jennifer woke up and came out to the living room, followed shortly by Jeff (the other roommate). Terry was sleeping pretty heavily. We decided to go and get some food, so we all climb into the car to go to a restaurant.
2:00 - 3:15 p.m.: We finally decide to eat at Pizza Hut in Dyersburg. Once again we sat in the nonsmoking section. That was okay because Cris offered to pay for lunch. We ordered two large pizzas and a family order of cheese sticks. Jeff and I went out to smoke a cigarette. The waiter who waited on us sucked ass; he didn’t bring us any napkins and he walked away from our food when it was ready. His coworker brought us our pizza and told us not to leave a tip (we didn’t). After we ate our food, we headed back to Cris’ house.
3:45 p.m.: We made it back to the house in no time. I said goodbye to Cris and the rest of the crew and thanked him for having me come down. I got back on the road towards Cadiz, and two hours and fifteen minutes later I was home (I didn’t feel like speeding coming back).
6:00 p.m.: I made it back home safely and without incident. I can’t wait to go back to Jackson next month. I had a really good time chillin’ with the people in Lappdog. Not only are they a really good band, each person in the band is really cool as hell. Cris took care of me while I was down there, and everyone made me feel like a celebrity. It was kinda weird, but I liked it.
That was my journey to Lappdog land. I hope you had as much fun reading about it as I did living it. I’d like to thank Cris and the guys one more time for having me down. It was a blast, and I can’t wait to do it again.
