Hobbies: Checking out local bands, singing at the top of my lungs when no one else is home, collecting old movies and memorabilia, writing, and brushing up on the latest entertainment news Many of you should be familiar with Token Rock Chick through her work with The Local Buzz, a two-hour show aired every Sunday night from ten o'clock to midnight on 102.9 The Buzz.

She has been Aljon's production assistant and on-air sidekick since October of last year. When Aljon headed off to Europe to tour with his band Mink, the Higher Ups at The Buzz asked Natalie (as she is known by in the real world) to host the show solo.
Token n Gang
Quite a promotion considering that she never took a course in radio broadcasting while she attended Austin Peay University in Clarksville. Aside from running the campus magazine, the twenty-two year old Natalie pulled off a double major in Print Journalism and Corporate Communications. Radio didn't figure into her plans until she started a Promotions intern at 102.9 in August of last year. Two months later her old college friend Aljon invited her to join the show as his production assistant, where she gradually became more of an on-air personality. Aljon came up with her on-air name while the two were hanging out at the Uptown Mix, and the rest is history. She has been a supporter of local music since well before she joined The Local Buzz, however: "Even before I was legal I checked the listings, read the reviews and became familiar with local artists. I was buying local rock at Tower before most of my peers discovered the radio! I've always been proud of local rock musicians because I've always hated that twangy Nashville image." Her professional goals include eventually moving into entertainment promotions, rather it be radio, label or independent promoter. For now though you can catch Token Rock Chick hosting the Local Buzz every Sunday Night. "It's important for everyone to know that I am in no way partial to any band as far as airplay. Everyone deserves a shot." If anyone has a request, would like to be on the show, or has club dates they can email Natalie at tokenrockchick@hotmail.com.
