Originally formed in February of 2000, Skard burst onto the scene with a ferocity and a following seen by few bands in their hometown of Nashville. After enduring a lineup change in March of 2001 Skard is returning with a new CD STRONGER THAN DEATH and the same raw attitude that made them one of the most exciting and unpredictable acts to witness on stage. "When we started, I wanted to play in a band that could play anything heavy, but not be obligated to any genres, The Doors meet Slayer and everything in between. Basically, something that would take five or six bands to describe," says Kevin Crotts, lead vocalist. "There are varying degrees of heaviness, we just want to explore them all. We are a young band and we are still growing and will continue to grow musically. We refuse to write the same songs over and over again." Crotts confesses. "There are so many bands who play heavy who, if you hear one song, you have heard them all. We refuse to fall into that limited class." BE PREPARED, BRACE YOURSELF, BE WARNED... Skard is coming.
