CHUCK KEY is the founder of DARKSHOVELS studio23 RECORDS and
co-owner of SIGNWAVES vinyl sign and graphic design studio. When not recording
solo material, he also works steadily with THEE BUDDHAJEWS, "Lonesome
BUCK TILLMAN'S DRUGSTORE COWBOYS and occasionally with THE INCIDENTAL
ORCHESTRA. He has also remixed a track for the debut album by JAY-DUBB,
of Aiken South Carolina. Though his work with THEE BUDDHAJEWS and THE
DRUGSTORE COWBOYS leans towards straight forward rocknroll and raunchy
country, his solo work is totally different. From the beginning he has
merged field recordings with electronics, psychedelic rock and industrial
overtones. Recently, CHUCK has just released a 2CD set titled "DAZE OF
FUTURE'D PASS", available from DARKSHOVELS studio23 RECORDS. Currently
CHUCK KEY has been experimenting with heavily sampled drum and bass loops
and deep psychedelic guitar rock for an upcoming release.
