To keep a long story short, Basically we have all been playing since we were around seven years old and grew up in the same area. When we were around age 16 all of us had seperate bands that would play shows together and when those split, the remaining members decided to try something new. So in 1997 the basis for the group was formed. And now, after numerous line up changes, it is safe to say that we have a dedicated group that works well together and share the same passion and ideas about music. Calico System has been together now for 3 and a half years. An overall Heavy sound with a Weird twist, and a little Emo thrown in for flavor. Many screams, and lots of singing put over a powerful, yet melodic and groovin blend of sound. We have avoided being placed in the "typical" category, and choose not to "label" our music as any specific type because everyone has a different opinion. Bands that have influenced us are Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Incubus, HUM, System of a Down, REM, Deftones, Bjork. |
