BURNOUT was born in the beginning of the year 2000. Tim had been wanting to do something
of this nature for a while. Living in a small town in IOWA doesn't lend itself to having
a lot of musicians. Tim decided that being a 3-piece would be a better way to start out.
He recruited 2 area musicians ( Jeff and Braden ) and they started practicing right away.
A year later it was decided to add another guitarist for a fuller live sound so in came
Aaron. In February, BURNOUT entered the studio to record their first CD entitled
“Thundertits”. Based on the strength of this recording, BURNOUT was signed to a multi
album deal with 12th Planet Music, who are based in Toronto, Cananda. Their music is loud and heavy with a 70's influence. They like to call it whiskey drinkin, girl chasin heavy as hell rawk n roll. People have likened them to Motorhead, Entombed, Fu Manchu and Mudhoney. Lyrically, BURNOUT enjoys the seedier side of life. A lot of the lyrics are based upon true events or people that strike a chord within the band. Just recently they have replaced Jeff with Mark(vocals) and John(bass). This is the line-up that is gonna storm across America making people deaf! Our goals are simple: To live a dream. BURNOUT have shared the bill with: Bottom Sea of Green Alabama Thunder Pussy Electric Wizard Warhorse Bongzilla Plus they played: Emissions from the Monolith 2 festival SHOD 3 festival BURNOUT are playing Emissions from the Monolith 3 and SHOD 4 in 2002 and will be touring the USA in the fall. Their follow-up to "Thundertits", entitled "Armour of the Gods" will be released in July of 2002. Peace….. |
