Animation is without a doubt the best un-signed band in the Midwest today. Showcasing songs that would fit nicely into any AOR, alternative, COR play-list. Animation fit the definition of straight-ahead, hook- laden rock, combining a metal aesthetic with an alternative sensibility. Animation was formed in the winter of 2001 by bassist David Brown, drummer Clint Lawson and guitarist Greg Hansen, four-year veterans of the local Midwest music scene; after auditioning several vocalists, they found the incredibly talented Matt Merritt, whose power made up for his inexperience.
